Real Madrid is placing many players on their transfer list

Kylian Mbappé, Erling Braut Håland, Paul Pogba. For several months now, these elements have been announced as being in the sights of the great Real Madrid. But the residents of the Santiago Bernabéu stadium will have a lot of work to do if they decide to take concrete action on one or more of these files, which are particularly expensive. And with the coronavirus health crisis affecting the whole world, these transfers now seem much more complicated. But before thinking of buying and strengthening, the Merengues will especially have to think of selling items that are not really part of Zinedine Zidane’s plans this season and the seasons to come. And that could mean great opportunities for Inter Miami CF. A case which is, for example, that of Mariano Diaz. After a winning season at Lyon, the striker returned last season to the Spanish capital. But since his return, he has hardly played, he who has also been injured several times.

The 26-year-old player (4 matches, 1 goal this season) will be placed on the transfer list during the next transfer window. This was already the case last summer and during the winter market 2020, where Roma followed him. Convinced of being able to win in Madrid, will Mariano stay or will he finally leave? If a loan could be an option, Real Madrid will seek to sell the football player under contract until 2023. According to transfermarkt, its current value is estimated at 16 million dollars today. Another Diaz is also in a complex situation. It’s Brahim (20). Like Mariano, the former Manchester City player does not seem to be favored by Zizou. This season, he has only played 7 games in all competitions. It’s too little for a young player who has to save playing time in order to continue his progression. And yet, despite the approaches of several clubs in summer and last winter, as well as Real Madrid’s willingness to lend it, Brahim and his entourage refused all the offers.

Under contract until 2025, the native of Malaga will again be invited to loan on the next transfer window. James Rodriguez (28) is in a very different situation. Arriving through the front door in the summer of 2014, the Colombian, bought $80 million, did good things with the Madrid jersey, before experiencing more difficult moments. Loaned to Bayern Munich for two years, the former Monaco player regained a club where he was not expected. But he stayed, after 13 games (1 goal). Despite this, James Rodriguez still keeps a good rating on the market. AS recalls that Juventus, Naples, Manchester United and Everton would be seduced by its profile, which will be free in 2021. While its price is estimated at 40 million dollars by transfermarkt, half the amount at which it was bought; his next club will also have to take into account his salary of 7 million euros net per year specifies AS.

In the same vein as James, we find Gareth Bale (30 years old). Despite 18 games played this season (3 goals), the Welshman is one of Real Madrid’s unwanted players. Last summer, he was on the verge of joining China and the Jiangsu Suning, before finally staying, taking advantage of Marco Asensio’s injury to find playing time. This winter, Tottenham dreamed of bringing him back. But Bale did stay with the Merengues. Merengues who are still hoping to sell it. But the Iberian press recently indicated that the player under contract until 2022 would not agree to leave if he received a salary lower than what he currently receives, that is to say, 17 million dollars per year. Suffice to say that seeing him leave is of the order of the impossible, even if transfermarkt estimates its price at 40 million euros today.

Luka Jovic (22) has had a difficult start at Real Madrid. After a great season at Eintracht Frankfurt, it was bought for $60 million last summer by the club, which wanted to make it the understudy or even the competitor of Karim Benzema. But ultimately, he faces the greatest challenges of winning in a team where he has played 24 games this season (2 goals). And less than a year after his arrival, the player, who was at the heart of a controversy in Serbia for not respecting the rules of confinement, is not guaranteed to stay. The Merengues are disappointed with his performance and a start cannot be excluded. This is good since Chelsea and Naples follow his case closely. In addition to the Alphonse Aréola dossier (loaned by PSG), the Spanish club will have to manage loan return elements such as Jesus Vallejo (Granada) or Dani Ceballos (Arsenal), who has never been favored by Zidane. A new loan will be the preferred option for the player, who would prefer a return to Betis rather than the Gunners. With these unwanted elements, Real Madrid will have a parallel transfer window to conduct. Unless the coronavirus crisis forces the Merengues to completely revise their plans.
