The Sports Illustrated webcast went unfiltered, and Echegaray tried to get some intel, but Mas and McDonough did not give a scoop
We were exited to hear some unfiltered news, while Luis Miguel Echegaray received Inter Miami CF co-owner Jorge Mas and Director Paul McDonough to his webcast. Echegaray started roasting them on the head coach side, and named the usual candidates Solari, Moyes and Henri. While Mas confirmed that the decision will be announced very soon, nothing has really transpired out of what we already know. IMCF wants a coach that will totally fit to the unusual challenge that a brand new team would face.
About the players the executives explained that after focusing on scouting all over the world and mainly South America, in order to keep the Miami vibe as well, they will complete the roster with MLS seasoned players, along with foreign internationals that would most likely the designated “star” players.
XXX asked about Cavani and other designated players. No answer there as well, which the sentence to keep is “some is true, some is not“. What’s important is the clear statement from Jorge Mas that Inter Miami is not here to do background, and will compete for the Championship right away.
