Inter Miami needs to accelerate its position regarding its coaching staff, time is passing by and there is still much to finish in order to build a competitive team.
According to the sun, the position stands between two names; Carlo Ancelotti and Gennaro Gattuso. Two world-class coaches with plenty of experience at the elite level.
Our new franchise is looking for a stellar team leader, with proven experience and a great track record, a coach who can lead the club to reap titles in the MLS. Which makes both these targets a viable option.
Option 1: Gennaro Gattuso
Gennaro Gattuso is former Defensive Midfielder, who initially played for A.C. Perugia Calcio, and Rangers, However, he is mostly remembered for his time at A.C Milan – where he won the Champions League in 2002-03 and 2006-07.
His trophy cabinet consists of the most remarkable trophies out there, such as the Copa Italia, Serie A, Italian Super Cup, Champions League, UEFA Super Cup, and his most notable win, the 2006 World Cup with Italy.
The retired Italian is exactly what we are looking for, an experienced champion; someone that knows what it takes to win.
Gennaro Gattuso’s experience as a Head Coach
Since 2013, Gattuso coached, FC Sion, U.S. Città di Palermo, OFI Crete F.C, A.C. Pisa 1909, A.C. Milan Primavera and his current club A.C Milan.
If Gatusso becomes the Head Coach of Inter Miami, we hope he can add the MLS Cup to his impressive Trophy Cabinet.
Option 2: Carlo Ancelotti
Carlo Ancelotti is the second option. Jorge Mas hinted that the former Real Madrid coach could prepare to take the position. However, Ancelotti has two years left on his contract with Napoli, which could complicate a possible move to South Florida.
Carlo Ancelloti’s experience as a Head Coach
You’re probably familiar with Carlo Ancelloti. He is mostly known for his time at Milan, Real Madrid, and PSG, and is one of the only three coaches to have won the champions league three times.
Similar to Gatusso, Ancelloti’s playing career has been one for the books. Winning the Serie A with Roma, as well as four Copa Italia Titles.
Both coaches would fill the eye of any European club, they are two very striking options that could revolutionize the MLS as well as – most importantly – lead Inter Miami to glory.
Previously, Mas stated that the Head Coach would be someone: “who has trained at the highest level and who has played at the highest level.”
These two options fit his statement like a glove.
