Inter305 Exclusive: LAFC supporters: “The Inter Miami game is more important than the CONCACAF”

Inter305 spoke exclusively with the bancnote.com about facing Miami in their historic first games, and how they will welcome the Inter Miami fans. Juicy.

Inter305: Hello friends of the bancnote.com. You are a news outlet about the Los Angeles FC and we would like to know more about your team, and the first MLS game versus Inter Miami CF this Sunday. As you know, it will be the first competition game for Miami, pretty epic moment to live. So… is LAFC stronger this year than last year (they won the West and finished runner up behind Atlanta)?

Thebancnote.com: Coming off the best regular season by any team in MLS history, LAFC will be looking to carry that momentum into 2020. All eyes are on that elusive piece of silverware, the MLS cup. The team, led once again by Vela, will have enough talent and discipline to keep rolling through the tough stretches of their schedule. That effort and winning mindset will culminate in a proficient run through the MLS playoffs, ending with the team finally adding that first star above the crest.

I305: What games are the most imprtant: the return game in CONCACAF versus Leon (Liga MX, Mexico), or the Inter Miami CF home game?

The bancnote.com: At this point, the Inter Miami game is probably going to be the most important (one). it will be a test of how the team can rebound after a really grueling first two games against a very strong opponent in Club Leon. regardless of what happens against LEON (at the time of this interview, only the first leg, lost 2-0 was played), how LAFC will play at home in their opener against Miami, could really set the confidence for the team in the early part of the season.

I305: What can you tell us about Lee Nguyen? Are you happy or sad that he left LAFC?

Thebancnote.com: Lee is very grounded and genuinely nice. He is also a great player and much needed veteran presence for us. Aside from Lee being a down-to-earth humble guy, he was a “tear-orizer” in the midfield. It was great to see him tear it up on the pitch and create opportunities. I expect him to do the same at Inter Miami and can’t wait to see him flourish. It was a pleasure watching him at the Banc, and we wish him the best with his new club.

I305: What are the main forces of LAFC?

The bancnote.com: Although we are probably answering this too simply, LAFC’s key players have to be considered the three designated players of our attack: Diego Rossi, Brian Rodriguez, and Carlos Vela. Once those three find a way to work together, it will be light out for opposing defenses!

I305: Any last words for the Inter Miami CF supporters?

Thebancnote.com: Enjoy the ride! The inaugural season is so special. Keep things positive in the stands regardless of what happens on the field and just have fun with it. Your first season only happens once. 😉
